What It Does

The Statisticians Workbench is a self-hosted web application for data preparation and analysis. Connect to your databases, import files, build pipelines with a structured recipe editor or an AI assistant, and visualise results — all through your browser. Your data stays on your server: no cloud, no third-party processing.

🧩

Structured Recipe Builder

Build data preparation pipelines step by step — chain stages like filter, join, aggregate, pivot, and impute, with a live preview of every stage's output.

🤖

AI-Guided Recipes

An AI assistant suggests stages and configuration based on your actual schema and data. Every suggestion is recorded for a full audit trail.

🗄️

Multi-Database Support

Connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MS Access. Browse schemas, preview tables, and query across all your databases from one interface.

📥

File Import

Import CSV, JSON, and Excel files with automatic type detection. Preview, map columns, and load straight into PostgreSQL.

📊

Interactive Charts

Bar, line, scatter, and histogram charts that update as you refine your recipe — instant feedback on every change.

📓

Jupyter Notebooks

Open any dataset as a Jupyter notebook for advanced analysis — Python, R, and SQL kernels, all within the Workbench.

🌐

Multilingual UI

Full interface translation in 20 languages. Switch from the globe icon — no restart required.

🔒

User Accounts & Groups

Multi-user support with role-based access control. Group admins manage their own users with fine-grained permissions.
